Commutify app for iPhone and iPad

Commutify is realtime transit app which uses Google Transit Feed Service (GTFS) to display static timetable for active transit stops and also uses realtime service (GTFS realtime) to update static timetable with realtime arrival updates for every active trip in your commuting area.

Commutify is only supported for Oulu, Finland in the initial release and uses realtime data provided by the transit agency in Oulu.

FEATURES

TRANSIT STOPS
•Browse and search Active Transit Stops. (Search works by Name)
•Add/Remove Stop to/from Favourites List.
•Set Nickname/Label for your Favourite stop.
•Quick access to nearby and favourites stop.
•See distance from your location to stop location for both.
•Stops are automatically sorted by distance for you.
•Change nearby distance between 500m and 4Km in settings
•iCloud Favourite Stops Synchronisation
•Have to change your phone, no problem! Favourites will be there when you will install the app on your phone.
•See Static timetable for today and planned stop schedule for next 6 months. (Note: Availability of timetable depends on how far timetable has been scheduled by transport agency)
•User Friendly Calendar to select the day.
• Filter Routes option for each stop to filter routes of interest.
•Nice Interface to select routes
•See Stop Location on Map and realtime transit vehicle location.
•Long press on stop name opens the Stop URL provided by the agency (Note: This works if valid URL for stop is provided by the transit agency)

•Browse and Search Active Transit Routes (Search works by Route Name e.g 1, 4A)
•See Route detail (HeadSign, Name, Stops (#) , Duration)
•Switch between Directions of Route.
•See Route Journey on Map
•Shows Trip Start and Trip End.
•Access to timetable of every stop on the stop from Map.

ICLOUD
- Please keep iCloud enabled to get automatic transit feed file updates and synchronise your favourite stops between multiple devices

BACKGROUND APP REFRESH
- Please keep background app refresh active to get automatic transit feed file updates.

LOCATION
- Please give location access to see nearby stops and see distance to your favourite stops from your current location.

PUSH NOTIFICATION
- Please give access to push notification to hear about feature updates occasionally.


AUTOMATIC TRANSIT TIMETABLE UPDATES
Commutify uses Google Transit Feed Service. Feed has to be updated when the transit agency updates transit schedules for given location. Application updates feed using iCloud database and background app refresh to update the timetable for you automatically so you don’t have to manually update application every time the transit schedule has been updated.
